Many people have asked me what is TEP? Is there any difference from FYP that SIT is doing? TEP bascially stands for Teaching Enterprise Project, it is business track's FYP. But there is a difference between TEP and FYP. In FYP, students are grouped into different groups and assigned a project to them where they have to complete it within the 3 months period of FYP. But in TEP's case, students have to go through 2 stopovers. This will be allocated by the lecturers. There are 3 different stopovers which is ELDC - e-learning development centre, BSU - business service unit and lastly, EMRS - events management road show. Each stopover has a period of 6 weeks.
I'm currently assigned in doing ELDC which basically in short, means doing flash based e-learning materials for Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS). The next stopover will be BSU.
Hope it gives a clearer idea now.
